Purposes of Processing Your Personal Data
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To be able to respond to your inquiry.
- To be able to inform you about the work of the Danish National Committee on Health Research Ethics.
- To be able to handle your possible registrations for events.
Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Data
The legal basis for our processing of personal data is outlined in:
- Article 6(1)(b) and (e) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
- Article 9(2)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
- Section 11(1) of the Danish Data Protection Act.
Storage of Your Personal Data
If your personal data is stored in our electronic case and document management system, it will be deleted no later than 10 years after the end of the journal period in which the information was received and processed.
Your Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have several rights regarding our processing of information about you.
If you request access to information about you that we process, be prepared that we may ask you to contact us via borger.dk. This ensures that we disclose the information to the correct person.
Right to Access Information
You have the right to access the information that we process about you and a number of additional pieces of information.
Right to Rectification
You have the right to have incorrect information about yourself corrected.
Right to Erasure
In very specific cases, you have the right to have information about you deleted before the time of our regular general deletion occurs.
Right to Restriction of Processing
In certain cases, you have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted. If you are entitled to restriction of processing, we may only process the information - apart from storage - with your consent, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, or to protect a person or important public interests. It is noted in this context that archival purposes are considered important public interests.
Right to Object
In certain cases, you have the right to object to our otherwise lawful processing of your personal data.

When you report a project to The National Committee on Health Research Ethics
The National Committee on Health Research Ethics (NVK) is obligated under the General Data Protection Regulation to inform you about which information the committee processes about you in connection with the handling of your case. When you write to us
If you contact us via email, we will primarily receive information about your name and email address, as well as any information you may include in the email. We encourage everyone to use secure mail with NemID via borger.dk or virk.dk if the inquiry contains sensitive personal information. Information you send to us in an email is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

When you subscribe to the newsletter
You have the option to subscribe to our newsletter, where we inform about our work and activities. At registration, we ask for details about your email address and possibly name. These details are used exclusively in connection with the newsletter. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, you can unsubscribe by using the 'unsubscribe' link in the latest newsletter or by sending a message to us via borger.dk. Then your details will be deleted.
